Prenatal Care
“I had the most incredible 1:1 session with Alex. At 35 weeks pregnant I often find myself out of breath.
Having the time, space and guidance to focus on my breathing and move my body really helped to open up the space needed.”

Enjoy a healthy pregnancy
Even a single session of prenatal yoga has been found to reduce anxiety around childbirth, to reduce depressive symptoms and anxiety in a shifting, constant state of change.
A unique and private time you spend with your baby, my dialogue is designed to increase a mother’s feeling of attachment to her unborn child.
Specialised yoga helps reduce a variety of aches and pains through pregnancy including varicose veins, ankle swelling, pelvic stability and back ache.
From improving sleep to building strength and resilience, lowering blood pressure and even receding blood sugar levels the list of benefits to the mother goes on and on.
Prepare for labour & recovery
Yoga exercise increased the tension and elasticity of abdominal muscles, lumbar muscles and pelvic floor muscles, and added flexibility of joints and ligaments. All of which is conducive to a vaginal delivery. In specialised pregnant yoga, women can safely stretch the hips and pelvis, increase the strength of the muscles and elasticity and flexibility of the joints, and improve natural birth rate. In addition, yoga training avoids the slow or stagnant labor process caused by poor muscle strength and reduces the rate of cesarean section.
Yoga techniques of breath and body awareness help us manage cesarean sections or other interventions with strength, resilience, and calm, and support recovery.
Grow a healthy & resilient child
Moderate exercise during pregnancy can improve fetal health and growth, by enhancing blood circulation, providing your baby with a greater supply of oxygen and nutrients.
Studies show as little as 20 minutes of exercise three times per week can advance a newborn's brain activity, and is said to increase a baby’s resilience to trauma or stressful experiences such as birth.

Indulge in a 1:1 session of flow and calm, tailored to you.
While our session is yoga based, it broadly draws on Pilates, myofacial release, acupressure, mindfulness and breath to give a well rounded class rooted in evidence based practices.
While your needs may vary on any given day, most practices will involve yoga movement, embodiment cues and flowing practice cumulating in deep restorative rest.
This is all about you. We’ll talk, respond to what you need and work with whatever your goals might be.
